The Cooks face a tough trip to second placed Bugbrooke on Thursday, although ‘Champions elect’ might be a better description of the Badgers. Last week they traveled to Wellingborough to play their biggest rivals Whitworth Red and triumphed 5-3 with Freddie King, Eddie Panter, Munasche Tichawona, Jake Webster and Ronnie Gibbon all on target. This kept up their 100% league record as they play catch-up following their superb run in the F.A Youth Cup and although they are six points behind leaders Cranfield United, they have a mere five games in hand to catch them up.
The Cooks sat last week out, but are in decent form having won their last three games, but a 0-4 reverse at home to the Badgers in the F.A competition gives us a fair indicator of what to expect and what we have to do to earn a result at the Sett tomorrow.
