LONG BUCKBY 0-2 BUGBROOKE ST MICHAELS
A first half Dan Porter double was enough to give the visitors the points at Station Road in a game brought forward from the Christmas Bank Holiday. It was a great run up to Christmas for Porter who had also been on target twice in the win at Rothwell three days earlier. The first came on 20 minutes when Joe Lewington headed the ball into Porter’s path and he netted from close range and he curled home his second into the top corner ten minutes later from an angle.

Chenecks picked up an important point in a 2-2 draw with local rivals Cogenhoe in a game of multiple chances on a heavy pitch at Billing Road. The home side made a great start and took the lead on 3 minutes when Lewis Irwin seized on a mistake at the back to score from close range, but it was 1-1 after 18 minutes when Jack Riley headed home an Archie Culley corner. The Cooks took the lead on 76 minutes when sub Archie Elmore made it two in two when he converted from 3-yards after Tom Wakley’s header had hit the bar, but Chenecks sub Joel McFarlane pounced with a well struck effort from the edge of the box five minutes from time as the home side picked up only their second point of the season at Billing Road..
