The Cooks will travel to Barwell in the First Round of this season’s Isuzu F.A Vase as they have been drawn away to Hinckley AFC. Our hosts groundshare at Barwell FC and play in the Midland Football League Division One, a step below the Cooks, and reached this round courtesy of a 1-0 win over fellow step six side Stafford Town on Saturday. They left it late though and Chandler Pegg’s 86th minute winner only came after the North West Counties League side had been reduced to ten men around the hour mark. They have also beaten Paget Rangers at home 3-1 in the 1st qualifying round and have so far played all their games on the astroturf at Barwell.
The game will be played on Saturday 22nd October and the away draw means that the Reserves will now have a home game against Huntingdon Town Reserves on the same day.
