After a gap of two years, the United Counties League has reinstated their Knock-Out Cups for the 2022-23 season and the draws were made today with both Cogenhoe teams being given home ties.
The first team will face UCL new-boys Rainworth Miners Welfare with the game being played on Saturday 10th September, whilst the Reserves will host Bourne Town on a date yet to be decided. ‘Rennuth’, or the Wrens, were moved across from the Northern Counties East Premier Division this summer by the F.A in their latest restructuring with the North Nottinghamshire club being one of the most Northerly teams in the North section of our league. They also have some Cup pedigree having reached the F.A Vase Final whilst playing in the old Notts Alliance, but were second best on the day at Wembley Stadium as they went down 3-0 to Forest Green Rovers.
