UHLSPORT UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE-PREMIER DIVISION SOUTH
GODMANCHESTER ROVERS 0-3 NEWPORT PAGNELL TOWN
Both teams created chances, but as they went into the break it was the visitors who had come the closest to opening the scoring when Christian Smail’s effort hit the crossbar. Kieron Barnes finally broke the deadlock as the Swans took the lead around the 70 minute mark when his cross/shot lobbed the Jamie Greygoose in the Goddy goal. Swans sub Barnes grabbed his and his team’s second of the night with a superbly taken volley and then it was game over late on when Webb slid the ball under the keeper’s legs after latching on to a long ball from keeper Martin Conway to make it 0-3.
RUGBY TOWN 1-3 LONG BUCKBY
The Bucks took the lead on the stroke of half-time when Adam Shaw chipped the ball over the defence and with the home side appealing for offside, he ran on to it himself before beating Jake Woodward with a neat finish from the edge of the box. It’s fair to say that things were not running smoothly for the Valley and they had to play with nine men for several minutes after Dylan Parker and Loyiso Recci were both sent to the sin-bin within moments of each other as their frustrations turned into dissent midway through the second half. The visitors took advantage of the extra men and doubled their lead with Ryan Ansell the man on target after 69 minutes, heading home from close range from a lovely cross in from the left. Back to eleven-a-side and Rugby reduced the arrears with fifteen minutes remaining as James Hancocks played a free-kick into the box and substitute Liam Francis got a touch that sent the ball looping into the corner of the net. Any hopes of a comeback for the home side were ended a minute into added time when Bailey O’Reilly wrong footed the keeper with a low shot from the edge of the box to secure a very good three points for the visitors from this local derby.

Match postponed in the afternoon with the Swifts being awarded the game. Boldmere’s manager had resigned the day before so guessing they couldn’t raise a team for this game.

COVENTRY UNITED 0-3 HINCKLEY LRFC
There were one or two chances for either side in the first half, but it was the visitors who held the advantage thanks to a 36th minute goal from Tom Smith. Matt Langham ran on to a ball that had bounced over the full-back and he crossed it in to Smith who had time for a touch before steering the ball into the bottom right corner. The Red & Greens thought they had pulled level in first half stoppage time, but Taylor Haddow’s ‘goal’ was ruled out with neither club seeming to be quite sure why at the time. The visitors started the second half strongly with Liam Read firing a shot straight at the keeper, but they went two up on 51 minutes when Ben Humphreys struck a left shot from the edge of the area that found the left corner of the Coventry goal. Four minutes later it was 3-0 to Leicester Road as Langham broke down the left flank before playing it through to Lewis Jones who took it to the dead ball line before pulling it across for Smith who netted his second of the game. Any slim hopes of a late revival for Coventry were ended when they were forced to play out the final eight minutes with ten men after Haddow was forced off with an injury and they had already used their three subs. It is now 15 games and 15 wins for Hinckley LR who knocked long term leaders Harborough off pole position as they moved two points clear having played a game less.
