BIGGLESWADE UNITED 0-5 HARBOROUGH TOWN
Harborough are now five points behind leaders Leicester Road following a convincing 5-0 away win at Biggleswade. In all fairness to United they played with ten men for much of the game after Josh Sturnolio was shown the red card with just 16 minutes played and a couple of months ago this would likely to have been double-figures at least. James Ireland opened the scoring on 4 minutes when he netted the penalty after Nat Ansu had been fouled and then big new signing Rhys Hoenes made it two on 14 after some great link up play with his strike partner Ansu. Ansu got his name on the scoresheet with an overhead kick after a long throw had been flicked on two minutes into the second half and Hoenes got his second on 57 from Joel Carta’s lay off. Substitute Sam Hollis rounded off the scoring on 72 minutes as the Bees cruised to victory, but Biggleswade did credit to themselves in keeping the score down to just five, especially after playing with ten men for so long.
BUGBROOKE ST MICHAELS 1-3 RUGBY TOWN
In-form Rugby made it nine wins from their last ten games with a 3-1 win at Bugbrooke. The damage was done in the first half as the Valley took a three-goal lead with David Kolodynski netting the first two with a quickfire double after 13 and 15 minutes. The first was set up for the striker by Danico Johnson’s run and pass down the left and the second was another close range finish with Johnson again the creator. Luke English rifled home the third following a corner on the stroke of half-time leaving the Badgers with a big deficit to overcome in the second half. Dan Porter did manage to reduce the arrears on 65 minutes when he netted from close range following a free-kick, but it was the Valley who march on as they moved up to fifth spot in the table.
COGENHOE UNITED 1-1 POTTON UNITED
Cogenhoe and Potton replayed the game after a refereeing error had seen the first game voided, but this one never really took off as they battled out a 1-1 draw. The visitors took the lead after 62 minutes when Cooks skipper could only divert a cross past his own keeper, but Dylan Wilson levelled things up seven minutes later with a pacey run from just inside the Potton half that saw him burst clear and slot the ball past the keeper. Both sides ended with ten men in a controversial end to the game, Potton’s being a sinbin for Aaron McArdle, but the home side had Paddy Cichosz sent off after picking up his second yellow card of the game.
NEWPORT PAGNELL TOWN 2-0 LUTTERWORTH TOWN
Newport moved up to third spot after changing places with their opponents thanks to a 2-0 win at Willen Road. Jim Burnside gave the Swans the lead with a header after 10 minutes and Kieran Barnes sealed the Swifts fate with a second on 77 after rounding the keeper before slotting home..

COVENTRY UNITED 4-3 DESBOROUGH TOWN
It was a good start for the red & greens as full-back Harry Sawyer netted from a tight angle following up on Stuart Hendrie’s shot with just 3 minutes gone. Joe Cairns made it 2-0 on the half-hour when he fired home following a low ball into the box and Sawyer netted his second on 37 after playing a one-two with Ellis and finishing things off with a clever chip over Chris Jones. United were on fire now and it became four on 42 when Muzi Nduna netted with a diving header for his first goal since returning to the club. It looked like this could turn into a cricket score, but Ar Tarn slowly forced their way back into it and reduced the arrears through Liam Boath on 67 when he smashed home a rebound after Shaun Archer’s header had hit the post. A good run and finish by Barnes Gladman reduced the deficit to just two goals with eight minutes left and then Jack Empson rolled the ball home from a tight angle after the keeper had saved but failed to hold on to a Joel Konteh shot from the left side of the box. A real thriller at the Butts Park Arena, but Desborough fell just short of the comeback of the season as United held on to take all three points.
