Trips to play Harborough Town Reserves have seen some big defeats for the Cooks, so they can take plenty of positives away from their 2-1 defeat on Saturday, especially as they finished the game with ten men following the red card shown to debutant Fred Amankwa. Luke Andrews had put the Cooks in front ten minutes into the second half, but a Vincenzo Falcini double, including an 88th minute winner meant an opening day defeat for Ian Adcock’s boys.

Cooks; 1. Ciaran Wells 2. James McGrath 3. Joe Morris 4. Sam Harris (yellow card) 5. Eddie Mann 6. Lee Felgate (c) 7. Fred Amankwa (sent-off) 8. Luke Andrews 9. Ben Mason 10. Josh Jones 11. Sam Giddens. Subs both used; 12. Albert Mensah 14. Lorenco Soulollari.

Next up as they continue to travel to the ‘H’s is Huntingdon Town away next Saturday.

Luke Andrews opened his account for the season with the opening goal.
