The Vets started their new season on the 4th of September, after going 1-0 down to a penalty they showed great character, getting back into the game with a perfectly placed penalty from Sam Duggan. After dominating the game Paul Raymond went down following a poor tackle winning a second penalty, up steps Ricky Smith to put Cogenhoe in the lead at 2-1. Final few minutes remaining and the opposition burst down the left wing only to put in a wonder cross, the forward steps in front of the defender flicking the ball into the net getting it back to 2-2. No much time left and Cogenhoe went for the winner, but sadly ran out of time.

Next up for the Vets is a spot of de-ja-vu as we head back to Ecton Brook to face North Star again on Sunday 25th September, this time in the County Cup.
