The Cooks reserve team are back in action tomorrow evening when they host newly formed Kingsthorpe with an earlier than normal 7-15 PM kick-off. It will be a good chance for the youngsters to gain a little more experience and confidence playing together as a team. On Saturday they came up against a much older and more physical team in Milton Keynes Irish and did themselves proud despite the 1-2 scoreline. There has been a number of changes to the squad during the lockdown so Kev and Chris will be working hard to develop and mature the younger members of the squad and these games give them the chance to try players in different positions too before the real stuff starts in August. They have no game this Saturday as the scheduled fixture at AFC Oakley has now been moved to Wednesday 28th July.
