The Cooks season has now officially come to an end as the U18s hopes of making the semi-finals of the Jaymann Shield were scuppered when Rothwell Corinthians failed to raise a team on Thursday night, so the points were awarded to Raunds Town who take the best runners-up spot as a result.
They have had a very good season though and took second spot in the South Division on the NSYL, so Gary Fletcher and Damien McGrath can be very proud of their lad’s achievements and with many of them still eligible for next season, the future is looking bright for the Cooks U18s. For those who will be too old for next season’s youth team, we hope you stick around and push on through the reserves and hopefully put your names in the frame for the first team as Luca Iaciofano has done. Some will head off to University and we wish all the best in furthering your academic careers, while those who simply move on from the Cooks, thanks for all your efforts and for being part of a great set of lads at Compton Park.
