BIGGLESWADE UNITED 2-9 EYNESBURY ROVERS

Eynesbury did their goals-for tally a boost with nine goals at Second Meadow, although United did pull a couple back late on. James Hatch (19 & 56, Cameron Hyde (29), Jordan Brown (39) and Sam Olawele (74) were all over-shadowed by Leon Lobjoit’s four goal second half salvo. The former Cobblers player scoring after 60, 71, 75 & 89. Trailing 0-8 with six minutes remaining, Maihid Ofusu and Ivan Otono threatened a late comeback with goals after 84 and 87, but a ninth for Rovers finally killed them off.

BUGBROOKE ST MICHAELS 0-7 HARBOROUGH TOWN

Harborough moved even further clear at the top after their 7-0 win at Bugbrooke. It was close at the break as just Ben William’s 37th minute goal separated the two, but a James Ireland strike from the edge of the box doubled the lead on 50, Paul Malone tapped in the third seven minutes later and the points looked pretty safe for the Bees. A diving header from Josh Walsh on 68 was quickly followed by a Nat Ansu effort on 70. Just to prove the strength in depth, Nathan Bobowicz came off the bench with 75 minutes played to make his debut and scored within a minute of entering the field, then fellow sub Scott Mooney made it seven three minutes later.

EASINGTON SPORTS 1-2 NEWPORT PAGNELL TOWN

Newport needed an 89th minute winner from substitute Jake Stronge to extend their 100% record away to Easington. Ben Ford gave the Swans the lead on 22 minutes, but this was cancelled out by Luke Swan while Sports ended the game with ten men after Bradley Cox picked up his second yellow card of the game.

GODMANCHESTER ROVERS 4-1 ROTHWELL CORINTHIANS

Zak Allen gave Corinthians an early lead at The Farm, but Goddy came back with goals from Dan Baulk, Ross Munro, Simon Unwin and Alfie Guy-Pinkney to run out comfortable winners.

HINCKLEY LEICESTER ROAD 4-0 LONG BUCKBY

Two goals in each half gave Hinckley LR a 4-0 win over Buckby, maintaining their 100% start to the season. Tom Smith started the ball rolling with the first on 23 minutes and Callum Earls doubled their advantage from an acute angle on 36. Joe Lyne tapped in from an Earls cross five minute into the second half and Smith rounded off the scoring with his second on 67 when he netted from close range after Jake Brown’s shot had come back off the post.

PETERBOROUGH NORTHERN STAR P-P POTTON UNITED

Waterlogged pitch.

RUGBY TOWN 2-2 COGENHOE UNITED

Cogenhoe ended their five-match losing streak with a 2-2 draw at 6th placed Rugby, but outgoing manager Craig Adams so nearly departed on a real high as the Valley grabbed their equaliser deep into added time. The home side went in front after 9 minutes with a lovely goal as Dylan Parker clipped the ball past the keeper after running on to Danico Johnson’s clever back heel. But the game was turned on its head after the break as former Rugby man Rico Alexander netted from close range following a Josh Adams corner and Will Bates played Dylan Wilson away on the right and he fired a great strike beyond the keeper and high into the net. Cogenhoe were so close to taking all three points, but four minutes into stoppage time Josh Thomas diverted a drilled cross-shot past the keeper and into the net.
