Waterlogged pitch.

COVENTRY UNITED 1-2 NEWPORT PAGNELL TOWN

Newport Pagnell moved back into the third place spot that they had lost on Monday as they completed a double over Coventry United, but they left it late to take the points at the Butts Arena. The Red & Greens had taken the lead through Kyle Carey after half-an-hour and it stayed that way until 81 minutes when Ryan Smith tapped home an equaliser and claim his first goal for the Swans after his recent move from Hitchin Town. Coventry had been reduced to ten men by this time after Dom Perkins had been shown a straight red card for a foul. The ten men looked like they would still get a point from the game, but they became nine when Sawyer brought down Jake Stronge inside the box deep into stoppage time and received a second yellow card and Stronge despatched the spot-kick himself to give his side maximum points.

EASINGTON SPORTS 4-2 LUTTERWORTH TOWN

Easington repaid their groundsman’s hard work by beating Lutterworth 4-2 at Addison Road. Levi Steele opened the scoring after 10 minutes following a driving run by Alfie Dunn and Luke Swann doubled their lead with 37 minutes played, before an own goal a minute before the break gave The Clan an impressive 3-0 half-time lead. Marshal Keenan pulled one back for the Swifts on 69 minutes and then the visiting skipper netted his second four minutes later to make it very interesting at 3-2, but James Watts got the all-important next goal to ease the pressure on the home side with seven minutes left as they took the points.

GODMANCHESTER ROVERS P-P BIGGLESWADE UNITED

Waterlogged pitch.

O.N CHENECKS 0-2 COVENTRY SPHINX

Sphinx closed the gap on seventh placed Lutterworth as a goal in each half gave them a 2-0 win at O.N Chenecks. Callum Stewart netted the first with a penalty on 40 minutes and Callum Woodward volleyed home the second on 70 minutes when he met Harvey Smith’s chip at the far post.

POTTON UNITED 2-1 COGENHOE UNITED

The Royals turned around a half-time deficit to take the three points at Hutchinson Hollow. Cogenhoe skipper Rico Alexander turned the ball in at the far post following a corner to give his side the lead on 27 minutes, but Alexander was unfortunate to divert a Jack Morrell cross past his own keeper just 20 seconds into the second half to level the scores. The winning goal came from the penalty spot on 70 minutes when Sam Dowridge sent the keeper the wrong way after Sam Willis had been fouled just inside the box on the left.

RUGBY TOWN 0-3 HINCKLEY LRFC

In-form Rugby hadn’t been beaten in the league for two months, but leaders Hinckley LRFC showed that record little respect as they ran out 3-0 winners at Butlin Road. Quickly out of the blocks the visitors were soon in front when Callum Earls smashed home after a deep corner had been headed back across the goal and Matt Langham doubled the lead from close range after the visitors had seen a header come back off the post. Skipper Danny Jenno added a third after the break for the Hinckley club as they got back to winning ways following a minor blip at Coventry on Monday afternoon.
