The F.A have released the line-up for our division for next season. The idea is that all the Step-5 divisions will have 20 teams, but after starting with 21 last season, we now have just 18 this time around meaning only 34 league games to play.
New to our division are Histon (relegated from the Northern Premier League), March Town United (sideways move from the Eastern Counties League) and Milton Keynes Irish (sideways from the Spartan South Midlands League). We have lost Harborough Town and Hinckley LRFC who have both been promoted to the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands, Potton United and Biggleswade United who have moved back to the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, plus relegated O.N Chenecks who will play at step 6 next season in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One.
(I had been waiting for the result of M.K Irish’s appeal, but as they are now adding #ucl to their tweets it looks like it was unsuccessful).

We will play five of our away games in Northamptonshire, 3 in Warwickshire, make 2 trips to each to Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire and Buckinghamshire, whilst we head into Oxfordshire just the once. Mileage-wise this isn’t too bad for the club I guess with the days of Thursday night treks to Boston now a thing of the past it seems with the only potential ‘long-trips’ coming in the shape of the F.A competitions.
