ISUZU F.A VASE – 1ST ROUND QUALIFYING

BEDFONT v COGENHOE UNITED

The Orchard,

Hatton Rd,

Feltham,

London. TW14 9QT

KO 3-PM

The Cooks kick-off the Road to Wembley tomorrow afternoon when they make the trip down to West London to face Cherry Red Combined Counties League side Bedfont. The Yellows play their football in Division One of the CRCCL, a step below the Cooks and they currently occupy seventh spot with one defeat and three wins from their opening four games. Cyril Ocansey appears to be the man to watch having scored in all four games, with a double in the 2-4 home reverse to Amersham Town, their only loss to date, taking his seasonal tally up to five. On Tuesday night they travelled to Brook House and ran out impressive 5-1 winners with Benjamin Bell scoring twice, with the usual Ocansey effort and singles from Jayden Gibson and Andy Gnabre.

Scott Carlin has been busy in the week adding to his squad and two new faces are expected to be in the squad for the trip. Right-back Earl Atat featured in one pre-season friendly for the Cooks this season, while Sonny Knights has impressed us in the past while playing for Daventry Town Reserves. I’m sure the fact that Sonny is a Newcastle United fan will have no sway on Biff’s team selection.

The Cooks drew 1-1 with Histon last time out in a game they could have snatched, with Dylan Wilson scoring his fourth goal of the season to level the scores. The management team will be looking for the lads to push on following that performance and lets face it, we all love a run in the Vase.

There are no replays in the F.A Vase these days, so if the scores are level the game will go straight to penalties.
