The Cooks return to action in their final warm-up game before the league starts next Saturday as AFC Rushden & Diamonds visit the village. Biff will be looking at two or three trialists in this game as his thoughts turn to the line-up for the Coventry United game with nineteen players now registered for the season. The Diamonds have already named their squad for this match and it includes four of last season’s Cogenhoe team in the shape of Kodi Briggs, Mitch White, Pharrell Anderson and Regan Saunt, but we won’t be seeing Ben Gough as he is unavailable. Luca Purse had been playing for the Diamonds pre-season, but he is now trying his luck elsewhere.
