It’s back to league action for Cogenhoe veterans on Sunday with last week’s defeat in the cup semi-final behind them, but not forgotten and they will be looking forward to another semi-final in the MK Veterans Cup with the draw still to be made as I write this.
The opponents for the Cooks this week is an away game at Clean Slate at Downs Barn in Milton Keynes. Clean Slate currently sit at the bottom of the division having played 14 games winning 3 and losing 11 with a goal difference of minus 31. Cogenhoe will be hoping to keep another clean sheet in this game to make it 6 in a row in league matches and to increase their goal average having scored 71 so far in the league this season and get a bit closer to the 100 mark having scored 89 in all competitions to date.
