UHLSPORT UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE – RESERVE DIVISION
COGENHOE UNITED RESERVES v O.N CHENECKS RESERVES
Compton Park,
Brafield Rd,
Cogenhoe.
NN7 1ND
KO 7-45 pm
The Reserves return to action after another free weekend with a home game against local rivals O.N Chenecks on Tuesday night. Our visitors were beaten at the weekend when Newport Pagnell Town snatched all three points when James Meadows netted the only goal of the game on 89 minutes. That Chenecks team included ten former Cogenhoe players as Tom Caton, Jacob Cox, Joe Evans, Jonny Shakespeare, Alasdair Duncan, Callum Patching, Harry Southgate, Liam Stone, Reece Sweeney and Jordan Sweeney all making an appearance in the game.
Chenecks currently sit in 7th spot, six places above the Cooks and have a more experienced squad than the largely young Cogenhoe team so this will be a good challenge as Ian Adcock’s look to make it back-to-back wins after goals from Sam Giddens and Lee Felgate had seen off Bourne Town last time out.
Our last meeting at Compton Park was our opening game of last season and the visitors ran out comprehensive 3-0 win as John Fielding, Benn Kirkham and former Cooks striker Jonny Shakespeare, the latter from fully 35-yards out.
