Despite having a few players unavailable for the trip, the Vets team ran out comfortable 4-0 winners away at Bicester Athletic last Sunday. Man-of-the-match Craig Smith bagged a brace, with Lewis Hill and Paul Carroll the other men on target.
This Sunday the Cooks have a week off, but the following week (4th December) they face Northampton Sovereigns at home in the second round of the Northants F.A County Veterans Cup. Sovereigns are in the same division as the Cooks and are currently four points behind us with two games in hand, but the two have yet to meet in the league. They have however already crossed paths in the first round of the league cup and on that occasion the Cooks ran out 5-4 winners, so its 1-0 to us with three games to come.
