Cogenhoe Utd vs North Star

MK Veterans League Division 3

Compton Park back pitch.

Sunday 19th March 2023.

Kick-off 10.30

With Cogenhoe not playing last Sunday with Tattenhoe Rovers not turning up to play giving the Cooks a home walkover, all eyes will be on the weather in the hope that the game versus North Star can go ahead this Sunday. After recent results in the league, Cogenhoe are one of 2 teams in the league with no league games lost so far this season.  Cooks vets have 9 games in the league remaining with 4 at home and 5 away. There are no details to date concerning the MK cup semi-finals in which Cogenhoe will be one of the four teams.

Cogenhoe will be looking to increase their lead at the top of the table to 6 points with a win from this game with 2nd placed Sherrington playing a cup game this Sunday, then next week Cogenhoe are away to Sherrington and will be looking to increase the points to 9 more than them. Cogenhoe also have 2 games in hand.

North Star currently sit 9th in the division having won 5 games this season with 1 draw and 9 lost with a goal difference of minus 16. In 2023, North Star have won 2 games from 6 played and come into this game on the back of losing last week at home to Brooklands 1-5, which was the same score Cogenhoe came away with in their last game at Clean Slate.
