Sunday 23/10.22

MILTON KEYNES VETERANS LEAGUE – DIVISION 3

COGENHOE UNITED VETS 11 v GREAT HORWOOD VETS 1

Just seven days after putting nine goals past Tatternhoe Rovers, the Cooks Vets team dished out an even bigger thrashing to Gt Horwood at Compton Park. Although the visitors did manage to chalk up one goal, Cogenhoe put eleven past their keeper to record their biggest win since their formation in the summer. The Carroll brothers Paul and Steve both celebrated with hat-tricks, while Mark Dent and Lewis Hill bagged two apiece, with Ollie Reynolds the other man on target.

It will be a lot tougher this Sunday though as the take on current leaders AFC Sherington Vets at Compton Park, with the gaming kicking off at 10-30 am.

Looking further ahead, a couple of cup fixtures have been added now and will host fellow D3 team Northampton Sovereigns in the next round of the NFA Vets Cup on 4th December, then we face a tough trip to Tattenhoe Vets Rangers from the top flight in the League Cup on the 18th December in what will be our final game of the year.
