RESERVES GET THEIR FIRST POINTS ON THE BOARD ON A GOOD DAY FOR THE COOKS.

Ian Adcock’s team were looking to bounce back from the 2-0 loss at Huntingdon Town after a first half double from Seco Embalo (10 & 36 minutes) had sealed their fate, but they bounced back in style on Saturday to pick up their first win with a 5-1 romp over Rothwell Corinthians at Compton Park.

Glenn Cakebread put the Cooks in front after just 4 minutes and two minutes later he spurned the chance to double the lead when he missed a penalty. Lee Felgate made it 2-0 on 14 minutes and perhaps it was a surprise that they didn’t add to that tally before half-time. Recent signing Josh Jones took over after the break adding goals on 48 and 55 minutes and despite the fact that Aiden Ginns kept up his record of scoring in every game so far this season with a goal back for the visitors, Jones had the last word when he completed his hat-trick on 73 minutes.
