Cogenhoe looking for one more point to seal top spot.

MK Veterans League

Division 3

Great Horwood vs Cogenhoe Utd.

Sunday 30th April 2023

Kick-off 10.30

Winslow Road. MK17 0RD

Cogenhoe vets make the long journey to Great Horwood on Sunday morning looking for just the one point to win the league, (they will be looking for 3 points, but one point will see them top the table). It will be a very depleted squad with injuries to a lot of players and Sam Duggan will be forced to play players out of position in order to get a starting line-up. Goalkeeper Stuart Schofield will hand over his gloves to injured midfielder Craig Smith who will have a turn in goal being too injured to play on the pitch.

The lads have had a 2 week break as they didn’t have a game last Sunday, the last league game saw a 4 nil win away at Upper Heyford.

Great Horwood come into this game off the back of a 2-3 home defeat against Northampton Sovereigns after being unable to play the week before handing Bicester a walkover. Gt Horwood currently sit 2nd from bottom of the league having won 4 games lost 15 games with none drawn, they have scored 31 times and conceded 65 in the 19 games played so far.
