With enough players to make a team up unavailable, perhaps a point in a stalemate against the bottom markers isn’t as bad as it sounds for the Reserves.

A few words from Reserve team manager Ian Adcock.

On a day with 11 players missing and 4 new signings being thrown straight into the starting lineup, it was a bit of an unknown what to expect, despite Raunds being bottom.

We did, however, control the game for the majority of it but the final third was missing. Their keeper saved 2 one on ones, there were 2 goalmouth scrambles and we hit the post with a free kick in the first half, but it was another frustrating day.

Thanks to the Gleneagles Quintet who signed on this week to ensure we could fulfil the fixture.

Raunds; Unfortunately Raunds didn’t give us their teamsheet.

Cooks; 1. James Hine 2. Dylan Carlin 3. Paddy Curran 4. Tom North 5. Pete Norris 6. Lee Felgate © 7. Kieron Mobbs 8. Morgan Harrison 17. Ant Brown 10. Glenn Cakebread 11. Sam Giddens. Subs used; 12. Lorenco Soulollari (ht- 11) 14. Mirzan Noka (ht-7) 15. Joe McDonald (ht-2). Sub not used; 16. Ian Adcock.

*Carlin returned 70-5, Mobbs ret. 75-4, Giddens ret. 75-17.

Referee; Paul Dobbs.

Next up for the Cooks Reserves is on Tuesday night when we play host Whitworth, looking to avenge the 2-1 defeat we suffered at their place a just a few weeks ago. Ian should have a much stronger squad to choose from for this game and hopefully they will all have survived the stag-do weekend in one piece.
